David Alexander Ambrose was born December 1998 in New Jersey USA, where he developed an interest in filmmaking at an early age. While David attended business school at Montclair State University, he never stopped directing his own work. His efforts were rewarded as his short silent film was officially selected to the 2018 Project FX Student Film Festival, as the only non school project under the college category. Through the years, his silent films have entered local northeast film festivals. In 2021, David was motivated to write and direct his first narrative short film outside of school titled “Bad Beat”. He held production before his last semester of college, and after editing a shorter version of the film, David was awarded BEST DIRECTION at the 2021 Count Basie Teen + College Film Fest. After a successful festival run with 15 film festival selections across the country, David was ready for his next project. In early 2023, David co-wrote and directed his latest narrative short, “Tomorrow’s Bandits”. Currently in post production, David is currently submitting his work into festivals all around the world.
